Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Tono about your use of the Tono app and the colour presets we sell. By installing or using Tono you accept them.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Tono on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code or the colour data of the App, except where that restriction is void under the law that applies to you.
Your photos are yours
You keep every right to the photos you import and to the images you export. We claim no licence over them and never receive them — editing happens on your device.
Free use, watermark and ads
Tono is free to use and every recipe is available to every user. Images exported without Tono Pro carry a small Tono watermark. A limited number of watermark-free exports is included, and you can earn additional ones by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. We may change how many free exports are included, and rewarded ads depend on an ad being available at that moment.
Tono Pro subscriptions
- Tono Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the app store you installed from. Payment is charged to that store account at confirmation.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings — uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices are shown in the App before purchase and vary by country. Where a free trial is offered, the price and period that follow it are shown on the same screen; any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe earlier.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, not by us.
Preset packs sold outside the App
If you buy a Tono preset pack (.cube LUT files) for use in
desktop software, you receive a licence to use those files in your own personal
and commercial work, including client work, with no attribution required. You may
not redistribute, resell, bundle or share the files themselves, or publish them
as part of another preset product.
Recipes and third-party names
Recipes in Tono are community-shared settings reproduced with Tono's own colour engine. They are approximations of a look, not official presets from any other application, and Tono is not affiliated with or endorsed by any other photo app or preset vendor. Names and filter codes are used only to describe the look people are searching for. If you own such a name and object to its use, contact us and we will address it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tono to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to interfere with the service — for example by extracting our colour data in bulk, circumventing purchase checks, or generating fake ad rewards.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, recipes and preset packs, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We will not deliberately remove something you have already paid for during a period you have paid for.
No warranty
Tono is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a given recipe will suit a given photo. Keep your own copies of important photos; an editing app is not a backup.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or damaged data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Ending this agreement
You may stop using Tono at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you materially breach these terms.
If you installed from the Apple App Store
- This agreement is between you and Tono only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Tono or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Tono.
- If Tono fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Tono, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to Tono, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm you are not located in a country embargoed by the U.S. government and are not on a prohibited-parties list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
